Nakhmen Mifelev

 

Born on 16 May 1896 in Skidel, Grodno region, Polish Lithuania.

His father was a tailor.

He learned in the yeshivas of Grodno and Lomza. Afterwards he was in a kibbutz in Voroneva; later he was an extern in Minsk.

After the Revolution he went away (1906) to Krakow, where he became a Hebrew teacher in the local Hebrew-Polish school.

Since 1907 he has published in the periodic editions in Yiddish and Hebrew, published several books and has edited a Hebrew children's journal.

In 1921 in Krakow's Yiddish theatre there was staged M.'s third drama "The Meeting".
