1931-1969
 

Chaim Eliezer Mushkat


M. was born on 17 January 1851 in Lukow, Siedlce region, Poland, into an important family. He was educated in the Talmud and [charity=khsidut], but also was given Haskalah and [books of inquiry=khkirh-sfrim]. Later he wrote articles in "Htsufh lhmgid", "Hmlits", "Hkrm?" and published various books in Hebrew and Yiddish, among them "Yakov bey lbn in khrn, a biblical drama in 5 acts, Warsaw, 1907".

According to an announcement he also may have published a second drama in 3 acts entitled "Yakov un Esau".

In the last years of his life M. lived in Praga, by Warsaw.
