Shimeon Orliuk
 

 

Born in 1994 in Vilna, Polish Lithuania. He is the brother of Alexander Asro. He received a middle-school education. A. owned a beautiful alto voice, which caught the attention of Vilna melomanen(?)

At the age of nineteen he performed on a scholarships and Treskin's Vilna music school, and he became a student of professor and opera artist Bagutsky.

After finishing the school A. performed various operatic arias, afterwards singing in the Polish operetta, of which he went over to the Vilna Yiddish Operetta Theatre (lead by Shiftzetser), then A. performed as 'David" in the Warsaw production of Broderzon and Kahn's opera "David and Batsheba", and he was once again connected with the Yiddish operatic theatre in Poland, participating most of the time in European repertory.
