It is reported that as a youth in 1887, P. had acted, together with Jacob P. Adler in the "Hebrew Dramatic Club" for Smith in London. His specialty is episode roles.

He came to America at nineteen years of age, where he acted in Yiddish theatre in small roles, however from time-to-time -- also larger character-comical roles, vi lmshl at the Grand Theatre, together with Alder, "Shmay" in Gordin's "Yidisher kenig lear (The Jewish King Lear)".

Around 1904 on a Sabbath afternoon, he didn't arrive for a performance, and when they went to him in his furnished and secluded room, they found him dead in bed.
