Aharon Psakhis
 

 

P. was born cir 1898 near Odessa, Ukraine.

He was raised by well-to-do parents in Odessa, where he later acted with Jewish and Russian "amateurs".

When he was young he immigrated to Cincinnati, America, where he worked in a machine factory and was a co-founder of a local Yiddish dramatic club, arranging various activities. He was also a participant in the professional Yiddish theatre (together with A. V. Biderman), and for his acting was praised by the local English press.

In 1922-1923 (?), P., being in California, committed suicide.
