Paulina Vays
 

V. was born in 1884 in Kishinev, Bessarabia.

Her father was a lease holder of the post and an animal dealer.

She studied in a school and studied Yiddish with a tutor.

As a child she came with her mother to America, and in Cleveland she performed in the chorus of the Yiddish theatre, later she began to act in small roles.

In New York she performed together with her husband, Louie Gilrod, in Yiddish vaudeville where she acted for fifteen years, participating from time to time in Yiddish theatre productions within the provinces.

Later V. retired from the stage.
