Benny Wallerstein
 

 

W. was born on 22 August 1899 in London, England. His parents were the actors Esther and Saul Wallerstein.

He completed college and learned Yiddish and Hebrew with a rabbi.

Already as a child of two he participated in the play "Kapitan dreyfus" in his parents' and Vaksman's troupe in Johannesburg, where he acted until he was eight in children's roles.

In 1907 he returned with his parents to London and there acted for four years with his parents, Adler, Feinman and Tornberg.

In 1914 he went with his parents to America and here for a short time acted with Joseph Kessler. The last time he was engaged, W. was at the Yiddish Gastsphil production in Buffalo and he managed at his father's cinema.
