Born on 1 July 1892 in Warsaw, Poland. Father -- an employee in a mill. He learned in a cheder, in a Talmud Torah, then with a teacher. He sang as a choirboy in Nozyk's synagogue. He attended the Yiddish theatre and thus became excited about it, so that he entered as a stand-in for Kaminski and Kompaneyets. However, soon he assembled the stand-ins and they copied the actors (at first in private houses in Warsaw, then they toured across the province), and in this fashion W debuted in the role of "De Silva" in "Uriel Akosta." W. began to act professionally in the troupe of Zhitomirski and later went over to the troupes of Sam Adler and Meerson, Becker et al.

1910 -- arrived in America, and here he acted in vaudeville with Aged in New York, then in the province. 1911 -- joined Local 5, where he later became an Executive member. 1913 -- acted for a season in legitimate theatre  with Lillian, and at the end of the same year -- vaudeville in Detroit. Summer 1914 -- vaudeville in Cleveland, Winter 1914 and the 1915 season -- legitimate theatre, together with Esther and Saul Wallerstein, 1916-1918 -- together with Wallerstein founded the "Wallerstein and Weinberg Globe Theatre", then settled in Detroit and retired from the stage.

W. founded the journal "Der veg" (at first as a weekly page, then published as a daily newspaper in Detroit.)
