1931-1969
 

Avraham-Yakov (Jacob) Weislitz

W. was born on 31 December 1891 in Konsk, Poland.

His father was a cultured person and left him to study in a gymnasium.

In 1911 W. became a member of the dramatic section of "Hazamir" in Warsaw, and afterwards he was the composer for the Yiddish Dramatic Union in Poland, with which he also performed plays in Yiddish and from the European dramatic repertoire.

Since 1920 W. has acted in the Polish Vilna Troupe.
