Yosef Zabolinski
 

Born in Slonim, Grodno Gubernia, Poland.

His father was a hat maker.

He immigrated to London and became a cantor there.

He was Zelig's brother.

As a youngster he was a choir boy in Slonim.

In London he was engaged by Silvershmidt and acted in Yiddish theatre.

Around 1899 he traveled by ship to San Francisco.
