THE SLOWIK FAMILY FROM ZAMBROW
cir early 1930s

The elders seated in the front row are Zalman Slowik and his wife. The only other identifiable person is their son Feivel, standing on the far left. Feivel Slowik survived the war and went to Warszawa to live the rest of his life. It was there that he married Chana Fluk and raised a family. Feivel and Chana's son Zalman (named after his grandfather) was born and raised in Warszawa. He eventually emigrated from Poland during his teen years to New York in order to study at a yeshiva. Feivel's brother Max Slovik immigrated to Mexico City and raised a prominent family that included doctors and architects.
