New York, New York
cir 1927

Jack was born in Zambrow in 1895 to Rosalyn (Ruchel) and her first husband. While living in Zambrow, he made his living by constructing hubs for wheels. He immigrated by himself to the United States in 1923 in order to pave the way for the eventual immigration of his wife and children, buying a nice four family home for them to live in. His wife and children followed in 1929, and they lived in that house in Brooklyn for many decades.

While living in New York, Jack became a skilled carpenter. He later became an officer (secretary-treasurer)  in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (Union No. 1204) of Brooklyn, New York.
Pictured left, seated in the center, is Jack receiving an award from the union.
