Note that at the spot of Plac Krasinskich No. 5, by the border of the former Jewish Ghetto, was built the
"1944 Warsaw Uprising Monument." This monument was erected by the Communists and memorializes
their Home Army Batallion, which launched various attacks against the Nazis on 1 Aug 1944.
