Roza was born in 1893 in Sokal, near Lemberg, Eastern Galicia. Her father was a merchant. She finished an eight-class "kreyz"-school in Lemberg. She began acting in 1911 with Axelrad in Czernowitz, afterwards with Adolph Meltzer in Iasi, and in 1913 with Zuckerberg in Krakow.

Later she went on a tour across Galicia, and in 1914 she acted with Podzamcze in Vienna, afterwards in Prague with Klug. In 1915 Roza returned to Krakow and acted here a few years with Tsolman, Jacob and with Meltzer. In 1919 she guest-starred with Kompaneyets in Lodz, and afterwards she broke into the Yiddish theatre, performing only in 1926 with Schilling.

In her free years B. played the prima donna roles in operettas and was exceptional in her singing. Later she changed to dramatic roles.

During the Second World War, she was killed at the hands of the Nazis in Lemberg.

She and Sam Schilling's son, who had acted in Lemberg's State Yiddish Theatre as a violin player, escaped with the troupe to the Soviet Union, but died in Bukhara from typhoid fever.
