Born on 10 September 1888 in Botashan, Rumania

Her father worked in the Yiddish theatre. A year later she was taken with her family over to Bucharest where W. studied in the evangelical school and learned Yiddish in the home.

Due to the fact that her parents worked at the Jignitza Yiddish Theatre, W. became enamored with the actors, and at the age of fourteen she was taken into the chorus of the troupe which also toured the province. W.'s first role was as "A chasid" in the operetta "Di yidshe velt" with Segalesco-Goldenberg. After the departure of prima donna Berta Gutentag, W. became nit-vilndik, a prima donna and she acted in such roles across the province. Since 1908 W. has acted in Vienna, Czernowitz, Paris, Galicia, Hungary and Germany.

W. was one of he first members and main guest stars in the "Der fraye yidishe folksbine (The Free Jewish People's Theatre)" in Vienna, and after that the troupe disbanded, and W. returned to local Yiddish theatres.

According to Meir Melman, W. was probably killed by the Nazis, in Vienna.
