Aida is an opera in
four acts, first performed at the Cairo Opera House on 24th
December 1871.
Radames is the captain of the Egyptian guard.
Aida is the daughter of the King of Ethiopia who was
captured during a war with Egypt. Now she is a slave to
Amneris, the Pharoah's daughter.

the Teatro Regio, Turin on 1st
February 1896.
Rodolfo is a poet living in Paris who falls in love with a
seamstress named Mimi. They live together, but quarrel
because Rodolfo is jealous and he plans to leave her.
However, Mimi becomes sick and dies from consumption.

Teatro Dal Verme, Milan on 21st May 1892.
I Pagliacci is a story within
a story featuring two clowns, Canio and Tonio, Canio's wife
Nedda and a villager named Silvio. This is a story of
Canio's jealousy, Nedda and her lover, told by these
characters in costume in a play that they will perform.
